With Youtube’s built-in annotations feature, you can add a clickable link on videos, but it only points to video hosted on Youtube or the search page.
This is a huge issue if you’re a publisher, blogger or marketer who uses Youtube as a way to direct viewers to your website. You can’t simply put a “Click to read more” on the Youtube player using built-in annotation.
LinkedTube is a decent tool for doing this. Linkedtube is a free online tool that allows you to add hover buttons and links on YouTube videos for embedding on your website. I like Viewbix better now though. It seems less buggy. You have to login to test it out though, but take a look.
